Collegiate MBA

The Collegiate MBA is an academic organization which focuses on fostering the study of business at the graduate level and to promote a closer affiliation with the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA).  The organization provides support services to HT students of all disciplines who have an interest in pursuing a graduate management degree.  Some of the benefits of members include: 1) learning how to best prepare for the GMAT exam, 2) becoming familiar with the various MBA programs at local, state, and national universities, and 3) networking with MBA students and professional MBAs.  For more information, contact the School of Business and Technology office at sbt@htu.edu. 

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

This is a nationwide professional association with the primary purpose of developing, encouraging and serving as a resource for greater participation by African-Americans and other minorities in the accounting and finance professions. The mission of NABA is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance professions. The main purpose of the student chapter of NABA is to help accounting students achieve both their academic and professional goals.  NABA meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month beginning at 12:30 p.m. in AL316.  For more information, contact the NABA President, Chipo Nziramasanga, at chnziramasanga@htu.edu.

Phi Beta Lambda Business Honors Society

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the Business Honors Society at Huston-Tillotson University (HT). Phi Beta Lambda is the post secondary component of Future Business Leaders - Phi Beta Lambda, Inc (FBLA-PBL). FBLA-PBL is a nation-wide education association of students preparing for careers in business-related fields.  PBL meetings are held every 1st Wednesday of the month at 12:00 noon in AL316.  For more information, contact the PBL President, Quincy Bland, at bsquincy@htu.edu.

Toastmasters Club

Members learn speechmaking in a supportive environment and gradually work toward various levels of certifications at a comfortable pace. Rewarding opportunities for participating in various speaking contests, mentoring, club leadership, and other activities abound. Members warmly welcome guests to their meetings who may want to observe before deciding if Toastmasters is for them.  The Toastmasters Club meetings are held every 2nd and 34th Tuesday of the month beginning at 12:00 noon in AL316.  For more information, contact the Toastmaster President, Russell Bouyer, at rbouyer@htu.edu.
